Our History

The Centre for Biblical Preaching (CBP) was established in 2012 with the purpose of raising the profile of expository preaching and training preachers. Since then, we have been committed to equipping preachers with the skills and knowledge needed to communicate God's Word effectively.

In 2014, CBP extended its work overseas, and we now train preachers across Asia and Africa.

As of today, CBP is involved in teaching preaching in theological colleges, mentoring preachers, conducting workshops on preaching, and modeling expository preaching through itinerant preaching.

Meet the Team

  • Michael Raiter

    DIRECTOR

    Michael is an internationally recognised Christian speaker and author, beginning his career as a teacher before studying at Moore Theological College and later becoming the principal of Melbourne School of Theology. He is now the Director of the Centre for Biblical Preaching, which aims to train and equip churches in expository preaching around the world.

  • Mark Lo

    OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Mark has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, including senior management positions in companies such as DMR Consulting and Unisys Corporation. He retired as CEO and Executive Director of AMI Education and is now responsible for the operations of the Centre for Biblical Preaching, where he works to train and equip churches in expository preaching.

  • Kirrily Drew

    ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR

    Kirrily has worked in administration roles at the Commonwealth Bank and the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students before joining the Centre for Biblical Preaching. Alongside her part-time duties as the administration assistant at CBP, she is an AFES staffworker at Monash University Christian Union and has completed a Master of Divinity at Ridley College in Melbourne.

  • Jakob Bradbeer

    DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

    Jakob has experience as a freelance web designer and recently completed a two-year traineeship at St Jude’s Anglican Church. Alongside his work at CBP, he works as a catering manager for CMS and continues to work on other freelance projects.
